]]>The "X2" is created by Sharper Image Design — our own product development group. I'm especially pleased with our "free-wheel" innovation, making the "X2" as easy to push as many regular kick scooters.
Fun. Fast. Quiet. Portable. The motor is quiet, trim and compact. Onlookers will wonder how your kick scooter got so turbo-charged! Step aboard, grip the handlebars and pull up on the variable-speed throttle — the 5-inch polyurethane wheels glide smoothly along on nearly frictionless bearings. To stop, just step on the rear-fender brake. To save power, cut off the motor with a handy switch near the grip.
The "X2" weighs only 15lbs., and the steering column folds down, for unparalleled portability in an electric scooter. In crowded cities, on campuses, in suburban communities, this versatile electric vehicle can be the fastest way to go from Point A to Point B — even out-pacing faster bikes or cars because of the time saved not parking and locking them in remote locations.
"Free-wheeling" electric! Other electric scooters are impossible to push. Often, they're simply too heavy, and the motor drags it down when pushing. Their wheels won't roll freely — so you can't kick — unless the motor is not just turned off, but actually disengaged, manually. With competing electric scooters, if you're out of juice, you're out of luck!
In contrast, the "X2" is a kind of "moped" that makes it fun to kick and use the motor at the same time. The platform sits low to the ground; the trim motor is well out of the way; it's super-lightweight — it's just so much fun and easy to use. The combination of your pushing and the drive of the motor feels like scooting "on the moon" in a gravity-free environment!
"Free-wheeling" is not just fun but also practical: you can go just as far as you want and, if you use all your power, it's no problem; the X2 pushes as easily as any other kick scooter. And if you’re not getting enough power (say, going up a hill), just kick and you'll be fine.
Charges fully in 2 1/2 hours or less, depending on prior discharge; and it will run for approximately 40 minutes. Speed and range of 4 1/2 miles vary with terrain, wind, average speed and rider weight.
Weighs 15 lbs. and measures 31 1/2" x 6" x 38 1/2"; when folded, it's 34 1/2" x 6" x 9". The steering column adjusts from 33" to 38" high. Wear helmet and pads for safety. Created by Sharper Image Design.
It is in great condition, but has no charger. The battery may not hold as much of a charge, will need to be replaced.<P.
