I am in a pickle of a situation. I flew in to Oklahoma City to help a friend out a few months back and things didn't exactly work out on that front. After going through all of my savings helping this friend get caught up on her bills and moved into a larger home, and paying all the other bills at the time, I was no longer of use to her and got kicked out of the roommate situation we had going as her new boyfriend was moving in. I admit, I was stupid for trying to help out someone I knew from back in high school. I was just trying to be a nice guy.
So I moved out, got myself a hotel room where I've been staying since January while attempting to find a perm job in the area. I have been working through a temp agency doing contract work (I am a network administrator... which means I am good at computers), and living paycheck to paycheck trying to get re-established, get a car, waiting for the position to go full-time and perm. Well, the position didn't end up going perm, and living paycheck to paycheck has me in a bind that I am out of money and can't afford to stay here at the hotel another week.
So now I am looking for a place to live for a bit. Somewhere to lick my wounds as I continue my job search in the area. I have the skills necessary to do a lot of different types of computer jobs, and have recruiters calling me, but it takes time for the jobs to materialize and for either a new contract or a perm position to open up... the economy sucks right now. So if anyone knows of any place that's stable, maybe a retired couple, or someone who owns their own business or something that has an extra room, or something and wouldn't mind a house guest for a while, please e-mail me and let me know. I'll gladly chip in on house chores (within reason of course).
