I have for sale my 1991 Bridgestone RB-2 road bike in the Indian Silver paint option. The bike is in outstanding condition for a 28 year old bike (a legitimate survivor). It is entirely original except for Vittoria Zaffiro tires that I mounted and new SRAM cork bar wrap (recently installed). The paint is in great condition, with just a handful of very small nicks/scratches that is unavoidable with a bike of this age.
Of course, this bike shares the matching frame geometry as the famous RB-1 model but uses slightly heavier steel for the frame tubing. I have an RB-1 as well and there really isn't a discernible difference in how they ride (I just wish the RB-1 was in the same condition as this one). If you're looking at this ad, I assume you're aware of these classic bikes but if not I'd recommend researching them. The reason for selling is simply that I have too many bikes and need to make some space in the garage so unfortunately this one will have to go.
I keep up with the market for these bikes and I generally see RB-1's selling for $500-800 depending on condition, and these RB-2's for a bit less than that. I'm asking $450 OBO, but won't discuss price unless it's in person while looking at the bike. Lowball offers will be ignored. Email preferred for initial communication. Thanks for looking.
