This was made in Oregon in the early 90's when Burley was a
"co-op" company, employee owned.
Burley now makes high-end trailers and riding gear.
The bike was built with the utmost dependability in mind
and made for long distance touring for serious bike enthusiasts.
Originally sold through OKC's Pro Bike at around $1200.
True Temper steel frame with a 22" seat tube for the captain
( best for about 5'10" - 6'1" ) and 20" for the stoker (5'5" - 5'8").
* Triple chain ring, one being exceptionally small for uphill use.
* 6 gears on the rear wheel with the rear derailer being a SunTour
Accushift 4050 XCE. * Crank is a Sakae SX.
* Has four bottle holders * Reliable Shimano bar-end shifters.
Has a set of new 27 X 1.25 tires ( 0 miles on them ) on Sun Mistral
wheels with presta valves. Has a Cateye Vectra computer (needs a battery).
Stoker saddle is an Avocet with plenty of padding plus a gel pad was added.
Would have originally had drop bars but they were changed.
Giant racing saddle for captain.
Can swap-out to drop bars and racing saddle for stoker if you prefer them.
