In the event of a power outage, this is designed to provide 12 volts of power at up to 3 amps. It is showing a warning light that the rechargeable battery needs replacing. I tested the battery terminals and got 8 volts. See pics for specs on the type of battery it takes. It can stand up or be hung on a wall or rack.
