Rare, striking side table from one of America's finest furniture manufacturers. It's 30 years old, made of real wood, and surprisingly heavy for its size. The workmanship is outstanding. If you enjoy having things that are unique, this fits the bill. I couldn't find a single image of one after an extensive online search, so I doubt you'll ever see one at your friend's house. This came from a high-end office setting, so it has seen minimal use, and has only minor flaws.
It can be considered Chippendale style as well as Queen Anne, and features elements of the Louis XV French provincial style, including the scalloped corners, banded top, ornate cabriole legs, and a burled drawer front. Look closely at the stylized design on the legs, as well as the feet, and you might recognize what they represent.
It's rather large for an occasional table, measuring 29" x 32" at the widest part of the legs, and standing 28" high.
