This rare 1950s Harmony H-42 Stratotone Newport is a killer! The wear on the body and neck give this thing a lot of mojo! It sounds as old as it feels and looks! Such a unique and incredible sound you get from it.
The action is low/medium height which makes it super comfortable to play unlike other Stratotone neck throughs I’ve had in the past where you can only play slide on it!
The guitar is all original except for the bridge. The replacement bridge is better quality than the original wood ones and allows you to adjust string height on each individual string. There is a lot of room to raise the action if needed. The bridge was replaced before I got it and It looks like the previous owner has cut a very small piece of pickguard out near the top right hand corner of the bridge to accommodate the width of the replaced bridge. The replacement bridge is smaller in length than the original one so you can see the screw holes from the original bridge if you look close enough but it’s hidden well. I have a close up the bridge pictured for that reason. All electronics have been cleaned and are functioning properly with no dirty pot sounds. The guitar has been restrung with new strings and I’ve fixed the intonation. Comes with original case that is still in good enough condition to safely transport the guitar. Let me know if you have any questions! NO TRADES.
