This model of high-end Yamaha electric violins was purchased by myself in 2010, and has since been discontinued. The condition of this instrument is like new, seeing light use in live performances over the years. It is extremely playable, with a very good tone when plugged into an amp and dialed in correctly using the built-in EQ and volume knobs. Playing it unplugged and "silent" also offers enough volume for practice sessions, and the headphone plug-in mode is also a very useful feature.
