FOR SALE: 1979 Airstream Trade Wind 25 Ft Travel Trailer.
This is a project that needs a lot of work before you can take it camping. I have been working on this trailer off and on for the past 2 years. I have spent endless hours on this trailer and I am tired of working on it. If I get my second wind and decide to get after it again I will remove the ad from CL. If the ad is on here, the trailer is for sale.
This was originally the 25 ft Double version. I have most of the components to put the trailer back together. I am not planning to put it back original so I got rid of the parts that were damaged and not usable. I did keep the interior walls for patterns to help make the arched cuts on the new walls. All the holding tanks are in good shape. It has 2-30 pound aluminum propane tanks and power tongue lift. The awning is also in good shape. The rock guard on the front that covers the panoramic windows needs a few screws but is in good shape. This is the International Land Yacht version so it came with most of the options that was available in those days.
Here is a link to Airstreams Archive about the 1979 models.
Here is a list of some of the things I have completed.
Repaired the bad (rotten) spots in the floor.
Repaired or replaced wiring that was damaged by varmints.
Removed all the interior wood walls. I have not removed any of the inside aluminum walls except for a piece in the rear to allow for floor repairs and a piece in front for electrical repairs.
The picture of the trailer is what it looked like when I pulled it home. I will try to get a few current pictures this weekend and post them. Really you need to see it if you're interested.
