Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented personto join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving wetland delineations, ecological surveys, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate is adept at fieldwork, skilled in technical reporting, and committed to delivering high-quality environmental solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Biological Science, Ecological Science, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience conducting environmental fieldwork and preparing technical reports (preferred)
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS, ArcMap, and other GIS and mapping platforms
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Oklahoma, including occasional overnight trips to remote locations
Responsibilities:
• Conduct Waters of the U.S. and wetland delineations in accordance with USACE standards
• Perform habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species
• Utilize Esri ArcGIS, ArcMap, and other GIS and mapping platforms to create maps, analyze spatial data, and support project deliverables
• Prepare and support Section 404 permitting and environmental compliance documentation
• Identify native and common flora of Oklahoma in field settings
• Accurately collect, record, and manage field data using standard forms and digital tools
• Use GPS units, aerial imagery, topographic maps, and other navigation and mapping tools to locate, survey, and document field sites
• Prepare technical reports, including Biological Assessments, Waters/Wetlands Delineations, and other regulatory documentation
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
• Experience working on projects with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT)
• Experience preparing environmental regulatory reports (SWP3, SPCC, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, etc.)
