The Defense Sector Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support an exciting Air Force Life Cycle Management Center program. This role involves supporting the delivery of comprehensive IT and support services to ensure mission success while adhering to DoD standards and regulions. This role includes system configurion, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the security and integrity of systems and infrastructure. The Systems Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support on-site system deployments, software updes, and operional readiness, ensuring th all systems meet security, performance, and availability requirements. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ability to travel to support customer sites and participe in hardware installion and configurion. 

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Linux and Windows servers. 

• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability. 

• Identify and resolve technical issues th arise within a complex system or network infrastructure. 

• Manage system pches, upgrades, and security hardening in compliance with DoD policies. 

• Provide support for system backups, disaster recovery, and da integrity. 

• Assist in managing system access, user accounts, and security configurions. 

• Collabore with other IT teams to support software deployments and integrion. 

• Ensure system documention is maintained and up to de. 

• Participe in incident response and resolve issues reled to system performance, security, and availability. 

• Coordine with Government network owners to understand requirements for new locions. 

Basic Qualificions:

• US Citizen with least an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI prior to your start de.

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• DoD 8140 intermedie certificion or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certificions or higher.

• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, or similar directory services.

• Strong foundional experience with cloud plforms such as AWS and Azure.

• Strong experience administering complex environments with Linux and Windows opering systems, network administrion, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or unstructured informion. 

• Self-starter th is able to work independently while possessing the communicion skills to work effectively with multiple cross functional teams and customers. 

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communicion skills. 

Preferred Qualificions:

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to maintain th clearance during your employment.

• Linux certificions (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+). 

• Windows Server certificions (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+). 

• Familiarity with cloud-based account management and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).

• Experience in managing accounts across various plforms (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS).

• Knowledge of automion and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

• Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and Atlassian Jira Service Management.
