Job Description and Responsibilities :
This position is responsible to assist with the execution of the delivery of projects on time, on budget, and at the quality levels our Company and customers require.


Oversee and assist with execution and coordinator of the overall delivery of multiple and/or complex projects

Execute and finalize projects according to project management methodologies, on-time, and within prescribed scope and budget

Implement current project management practices, processes and methodologies and propose more efficient methodologies when able

Lead business/project review meetings, support clients during onsite visits, and manage client communications

Drive interdepartmental communications to maintain timelines and monitor budget requirements

Troubleshoot the challenges and issues associated with development and implementation of complex plans and escalate issues when needed

Discuss key details with Director of PMO on a regular basis and present information on projects to internal and external stakeholders

Participates in technology aspects of the business-sponsored RFIs/RFPs

Adhoc reporting as required

Manage the activities of internal operations and engineering groups to ensure proper planning, communications, and implementation of solutions.

Communicate customer requirements to other cross functional teams and project stakeholders to achieve project results.

Perform critical path analysis for projects to calculate, identify and manage aspects of the deployment and mitigate risks.

Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion

Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Understanding of OSP/ISP construction

Understanding of carrier installation, test and turn up procedures

Understanding of project management fundamentals including requirement definition, resource scheduling, budgeting, risk and change management.

Must demonstrate experience in managing multiple vendors, resources to deliver time sensitive projects.

Must demonstrate experience in customer relationship management and poses the ability to adapt project management approach to satisfy customer's needs.

Proficient in MS office applications (Excel, MS project, Power Point, word)

Excellent organization skills

Four-year college degree, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as project management or business administration. Plus 5-7 years related experience and/or training and 5-7 years related management experience with emphasis on project management, change management, and financial metrics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Master's Degree is preferred, but not required. PMI certification, Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred.

Intermediate: Contact Management, Database, Enterprise Resource Planning, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.

Performs work operations which permit frequent opportunity for decision-making of major importance which would have considerable effect on the final attainment of multiple major activities and the organization's projects of a large organization component and organization's clientele.

Activities covered by wide-ranging policies and courses of action, and generally directed as to execution and review. High order of analytical, interpretative, and/or constructive thinking in varied situations.

Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.)

Regular contacts with customers where the contacts are initiated by the employee. Involves both furnishing and obtaining information and, also, attempting to influence the decisions of those persons contacted. Customer contacts of considerable importance and of such nature, that failure to exercise proper judgment may result in important tangible or intangible losses to the organization.

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing, must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, may be required to work long and unpredictable hours , travel up to 50% of the time, including short notice travel, which may include local site travel or national travel depending on business needs
